Hi, we are Bob and Janet Gard and we have lived in the Branson area for several years. In fact, Janet has lived in Branson all of her life and I have been here since 1970. We have always enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, photography, etc. Lately, we have been doing a lot of hiking and have had the opportunity of meeting people who also enjoy walks through the Ozark hills but did not know where to go. So Janet and I wrote and published our new book "Branson Hiking Trails" so that locals and visitors alike can get out and see the many beautiful sights found here in the Branson area. There are a variety of trails from which to choose, walking trails, cave trails, trails through old towns and homesites, along the lakes, out through glades, easy, moderate and difficult trails. By us providing you a list of trails and the information you need to find and hike the trails, all that is left for you to do is pick out a trail that interests you and go!
We have three children and four grandchildren that we spend a lot of time with and love to spoil. We are beginning to take the oldest one with us on some of our easier hiking trips and she really loves it. We have even been known to take the younger ones with us in a backpack. They all enjoy being outside and we hope we can help them appreciate the beauty that God has blessed us with in this area we call home, BRANSON!
